Who we are

Bliq (“we”) makes Bliq Billing, at bliq.in and app.bliq.in, and the Bliq apps for Windows and Android. This policy covers all of them. For any question, write to hello@bliq.in or call +91 60033 59534.

What we collect

• Account: your name, mobile number, and your shop’s name, address and GSTIN.
• Shop records you enter: items, stock, bills, purchases, payments and expenses, and the names, phone numbers and GSTINs of your customers and suppliers.
• Staff: the phone numbers and roles of the people you add.
• Technical: device and browser type, IP address and error logs, to keep Bliq safe and working.
• Contact form: the name, phone, email and message you send us.

How we use it

To run Bliq for you: log you in with an OTP, keep your records, make your bills and reports, check GSTINs, back up your data and help you when you ask. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for ads.

Your shop records are yours. We look at them only to help when you ask us, to fix a problem, or when the law requires it.

Who else handles it

• Hosting: our servers and database are with DigitalOcean in Bengaluru, India.
• OTP: your mobile number goes to our SMS provider to send the login code.
• GSTIN check: a GSTIN you type goes to a GST lookup service to fetch the business name and address.
• Analytics: bliq.in (this website) uses Google Analytics to count visits. The billing app does not.
• WhatsApp: a bill or reminder you send on WhatsApp goes through your own WhatsApp.

Phone app permissions

Each permission is asked only when you first use that feature. You can say no.

• Camera: to scan barcodes and to read items from a photo. The photo is read on your phone.
• Microphone: for voice billing. Your phone’s speech service (on most Android phones, Google) turns your words into text.
• Files: to pick a PDF or Excel file you choose.

Where it is kept and for how long

Your data is stored in India, sent only over HTTPS, and backed up every night. We keep it while your account is open. If you close your account, we delete your shop records within 90 days, except what the law requires us to keep. Copies in backups are removed as the backups roll over.

Your choices

These rights come from India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Write to hello@bliq.in from your registered phone or email.

• Download all your shop records as one Excel file at any time.
• Correct your details in the app, or ask us to.
• Ask us to close your account and delete your data.
• Withdraw consent you gave, and complain to us or to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Bliq is for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. For a big change, we also tell you in the app before it applies.
